The vacuum plasma treatment is been used to increase the surface energy of the plastic toy surface, making it more hydrophilic and allowing for better adhesion of coatings. The plasma can also be used to clean the surface of the toy and remove any contaminants, making it more suitable for coating applications.
For making the toys hydrophilic in a batch process the toys are placed inside the Rotary Drum situated inside the vacuum chamber. The rotary drum will ensure overall treatment or treatment from all the sides of the toys or any parts.
