Vacuum plasma treatment is been used to clean and prevent clogging the ink feed components by removing any impurities from their surface. The ink feed surface energy is been raised with the help of the plasma, which will make them more hydrophilic and will improve ink flow.
To perform vacuum plasma treatment on ink feed components, the components are first placed in the vacuum chamber. The chamber is then filled with a gas oxygen, this oxygen is then ionized with the help of plasma thus highly increasing the inside surface of the ink feed.
